I am a firm believer in latex mattresses as being extremely comfortable and healthy. I have been sleeping on latex foam mattresses for over 9 years. They help the body regulate its temperature, support the body, and also stays steady if you share a bed with someone. There are no flame retardants and no chemicals off gassing.

In searching again for a natural latex mattress, I came across many websites and got a bit overwhelmed with all of the options and configurations. I have a few already, but because it has been some time, I wanted to see what else was out there and what the prices were like. With internet searching and reading through an excellent resource The Mattress Underground, I came across the company Spindle. I immediately liked the design and clarity of their website, the uniqueness and creativity of their name Spindle, and the quality and pricing of what they offer.

When we moved into the house we live in now one of the things we did not realize is that you can basically hear everything from anywhere, and although the floor is a beautiful dark hardwood, it creaks! With us trying to get our baby to sleep longer, these both posed a challenge. With colder weather approaching (and in some places here already), a sleep sack is a must have for a little baby! It is really important to have a sleep sack made of natural materials, as it is right next to baby's body. We have various sleep sacks that we love, one of them is the Ergo Pouch.

With the arrival of our second daughter soon coming, I was looking for a mattress cover and protector for our new bed. We had recently updated to a king and we needed something to protect it from the various occurrences that happen with a baby! I also had found I was more comfortable on our guest bed that had a wool mattress pad on it (more obvious to me at 36 weeks pregnant). I looked to see what mattress pad we had on the guest bed and it was by Sleep & Beyond. I had done some research a few years ago when buying a pad for our old bed. It is really comfortable and made of wool and cotton (it is called the myPad). For our bed now (king) we got the myDual Pad and myWoolly Pillow from Sleep & Beyond. The myDual Pad consists of a cushy side that is 100% wool fleece with no other covering, and the soft side is 100% wool under 100% cotton.

In my quest for an organic moses basket set, I came across Wendy Anne's handmade moses basket on etsy.com. I liked that it was from a small business, handmade, and organic. I also thought compared to what I had seen the price was reasonable.
