oh so heavenly - dr hauschka

I have been using Dr. Hauschka products for many years, first being introduced to them by a friend and herbalist when I commented on how her skin looked. There have been times I have used them more and less, depending on my income, but I have consistently loved using their products whenever I can. As part of my recent dedication to try to incorporate more self-care into my busy and wonderfully full life, I have happily made more of a commitment to using their products. I very rarely get manicures, massages, facials, or anything like that, so buying the products (usually finding good sales), is something I have justified. It feels healthy to me to use their products, practical and helpful for the skin, and the ingredients and aroma also seem to nourish my soul, bringing calm to the close of the day and subtle inspiration to the start of the day.

Currently I use their Cleansing Cream in the morning - a nice gentle exfoliant, followed by Facial Toner, Regenerating Eye Cream and Clarifying Day Oil as a moisturizer. Their Lip Care Stick I use throughout the day and at night and I think it is great! Evening I am currently using their Soothing Cleansing Milk and after I use Thayer's Rose Petal Facial Toner with a cotton pad, it seems to cleanse a bit too. Recently I bought the Night Serum, which I think lets the skin kind of regenerate at night - Dr. Hauschka does not encourage regular moisturizing at night - but rather that is a time for the face to regenerate itself. They talk a bit about it here. I make sure to wash my face in the morning after using, as it seems like it needs to be washed off. Once in a while I use their Clarifying Clay Mask, which seems to do a nice deep clean of impurities, I love it! It is drying, so also sometimes I follow it up with the Revitalizing Mask. They also have a natural make up line and body care. The list goes on! Alas, their products are not inexpensive, but they do offer sales, I bought (for myself and others as gifts) their Hydrating Hand Cream for $10 including shipping as part of their 12 days of Christmas sale! I also look for other websites that are authorized dealers (not Amazon), as they often have discounts, like Pharmaca, where they are often 25% off and sometimes 50% off. Dr. Hauschka lists their authorized and unauthorized online retailers on their website, click here.

Dr. Hauschka began in 1935 with an avant-garde approach to natural medicines and products, they settled their company and gardens in 1950 in Bad Boll/Eckwälden, Germany. They look at the wholeness of their ingredients, they have a glossary of all their ingredients and they list their global partnerships. Their website is very thorough and informative, and easy to navigate!

Here is their intro statement about their ingredients:

All ingredients in Dr. Hauschka products have a function and a purpose. Careful thought goes into the selection and sourcing of the raw materials as well as the way in which the individual ingredients are combined to form complete Dr. Hauschka products. And our ingredients always adhere to the highest quality standards.

They have a loyalty program for customers called The Giving Garden, where customers accrue points, have access to members only events (like the amazing twelve days of christmas sales they offered last December), and also gives back to the community by giving fresh food to their neighbors in need.
